of the Mid-Pennine group of ethicalbiz, the Ethical Business
Network. Formed in March 2007, we are an association of businesses, organisations and individuals that try to work in a sustainable way and keep the issue of sustainability in its many forms on the general business agenda. Our members come from as far aways as Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Bradford and Huddersfield, as well as the local, Calder Valley area. We are actively involved in promoting sustainable ways of working and meet on a monthly basis at the Trades Club in Hebden Bridge, midway between Leeds and Manchester. We also help member organisations source suppliers and customers who share their ethos and can support them in a consultative or negotiating role. We are organising several events for 2008 including a Big Green Weekend and the hosting of several keynote speakers from outside the network at our monthly meetings. |
